Meet the Mapletree Team
Jessica founded Mapletree Mental Wellness in 2015 out of a desire to provide the most effective, inclusive, and compassionate counseling services to the people of Kentucky. As a licensed professional clinical counselor, Jessica has experience working with a wide range of individuals.
Jessica has more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field practicing in a variety of settings. She has experience working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, ADHD, communication issues, difficult life transitions, self-harming behaviors, and trauma related issues. Jessica is LGBTQIA+ affirming and is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgemental place for all people. Jessica loves working and playing with her co-therapist, Max. Max is a trained therapy dog and can be incorporated into counseling sessions when animal assisted therapy techniques are beneficial and requested by the client. Jessica's QualificationsJessica received her Masters of Education with honors in Counseling and Human Development with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Kentucky University.
She is licensed by the state of Kentucky as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor. Her professional memberships include: Chi sigma Iota, American Counseling Association, Kentucky Counseling Association, and Kentucky Mental Health Counseling Association. |

Max is the official mascot and resident therapy dog here at Mapletree Mental Wellness. Max assists Jessica Jones in therapy sessions with an intervention called Animal Assisted Therapy. Max has received extensive training to prepare for his role as a therapy dog at Mapletree and he loves his job!
